As many as 50 students will exhibit their creative designs at the 11th edition of the annual symposium and fashion show competition of the Arts of Fashion Foundation, San Francisco-based non-profit organisation. The two-day symposium that will kick-off from October 22, will bring together students, industry professionals and designers on one platform.

The Arts of Fashion Foundation competition promotes and rewards creativity and inventiveness. It discovers emerging talent and facilitates careers; establish enriching contacts and exchanges between different countries, schools and universities; and to foster new relationships between those from different industries and fields. This unique competition is dedicated solely to celebrate emerging designers and their creativity and the Arts of Fashion is dedicated to bringing the best sources of education and research to students and designers.

The foundation received proposals from 340 students from 111 fashion institutions of 32 countries. From that, 50 designers were selected to present their 'mini collections' down the runway for a chance to win internships with reputable fashion houses across the globe and scholarships for the foundation’s MasterClasses that take place each summer and winter at the M usée des Arts Décoratifs at the Louvre in Paris.

The Arts of Fashion jury will announce the eight winning designers on October 23.
