Departure at Polo Ralph Lauren

Judith McHale
Judith McHale has taken the decision to quit the board of directors at Polo Ralph Lauren. Her resignation follows her recent confirmation to the role of Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs with the Department of State under President Obama; she had been a member of the board at Polo Ralph Lauren since 2001.

At the same time as this announcement the America fashion house published its fourth quarter results, which showed that turnover had reached €878 million, a drop of 1% on the same period a year previously. Net results shifted from €74.8 million to €32.4 million, under half of the amount the group managed last year, though it must be noted that Polo Ralph Lauren is currently engaged in restructuring.
