Differential Brands Group Inc. announced on Tuesday that its Robert Graham menswear brand has signed a tailored clothing license with Montreal-based suit manufacturer Peerless Clothing International.

Under the license, Peerless will manufacture and distribute Robert Graham-branded men’s and boys’ tailored clothing, suit separates and top coats in the United States and Mexico.

The line will be produced in Peerless’ Canadian factory using Italian piece goods and will feature a half-canvas make and hand-finished detailing.

“We are thrilled to announce this new and very significant partnership which will strengthen the brand’s footprint and continue to create coveted luxury products,” said Robert Graham President Andrew Berg in a release.

“The luxury brand DNA of Robert Graham translates to the tailored clothing category with sophistication, elegance, and creativity,” stated Peerless Clothing President John Tighe. “As the largest producer of fine tailored clothing in North America, we are the experts in this category and look forward to adding a new dimension to our portfolio of brands.”

This latest partnership is part of Robert Graham’s wider strategy of expanding its lifestyle offering and follows a string of other licenses for loungewear, eyewear, footwear and homeware signed with Komar, Nouveau Eyewear, Prodigy Brands and Royal Heritage Home, respectively, earlier this year.

The New York-based brand also holds licensing agreements for a wide range of products with a number of other companies, such as Batallure Beauty, RGA Leatherworks and Shirt Avenue, and recently renewed two long-term licenses with Throat Threads and British Apparel Collection.

Peerless’ license portfolio includes various iconic North American brands such as DKNY, Lauren Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Michael Kors.

The company’s line of Robert Graham tailored apparel is slated for release in Spring 2019 and will be available in department and luxury specialty stores as well as through Robert Graham direct-to-consumer channels.
