Givenchy is having an American comeback. The Paris fashion house has opened a Las Vegas store in a nearly 200-square-meter space in the Wynn Resort Promenade shopping mall.

The boutique’s concept was inspired directly by Givenchy’s flagship on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis in Paris. Men’s accessories are displayed on "Totem" shelves, similar décor elements at the Givenchy shop on the Avenue Montaigne, opened in September 2013.

The brand has not had any stores on North American soil since 2008, when it closed its store on Manhattan’s Madison Avenue. But last year the company signed a new lease on the prestigious shopping street, enabling it to return to New York this year with over 250 square meters, right next to a flagship store of Alexander McQueen, who was creative director at Givenchy before Riccardo Tisci took over the job in 2005.

“This opening is a major milestone in our development,” announced Sébastien Suhl, CEO of the fashion house since March 2012, “because the United States is a significant market for Givenchy.”

In January, the brand recruited Devon Pike to be CEO for the USA.
