The departments were previously under the leadership of Helen David, who left her role as chief merchant in June after more than ten years at Harrods to pursue new opportunities.

Annalise Fard has also had a long career at the famous London luxury retailer. She joined the department store in 1997 as a buyer for furniture, and returned in 2007 as director of the home and beauty departments.

“I am delighted to be returning to the world of fine watches and jewellery at Harrods,” she commented.

“This is a hugely exciting time for these divisions at Harrods, following the recent re-launch of the Fine Watches and Fine Jewellery departments and the upcoming expansion of the Beauty division next year. I am looking forward to working with my teams to reinforce Harrods' position as the worlds’ foremost luxury retailer.”

The department store has recently unveiled a new and upgraded Fine Watches department, designed by architecture firm Rundell Associates. Spreading over two floors, the expanded Fine Watch Room features ten large boutiques and a multi-brand area.
