Macy's is doing its bit for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October with a series of fashionable initiatives.

The department store chain is launching its annual ‘Pink Shop,' an online assortment of curated pink merchandise that will see a portion of its sales proceeds directed to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The online store spans clothing, accessories, watches, luggage, jewelry, cosmetics and fragrance, and features brands such as Ralph Lauren, Coach, Estée Lauder, Origins, Bobbi Brown and Clinique. Fashion brands Ideology and Thalia Sodi have also both created special collections for the retailer.

Macy's is also teaming up with Ralph Lauren's ‘Pink Pony' initiative for the sixth consecutive year. The initiative, which helps to fund supporting programs for cancer screening, treatment, research and patient navigation, has been working with Macy's since 2013 -- a partnership that has generated more than $9 million for the charitable cause. This year's collaboration has seen Ralph Lauren design a limited-edition $5 Pink Pony bracelet for the department store, which is set to launch on October 1. For every bracelet sold, $4 will be donated to the Pink Pony Fund.

A final initiative, the ‘Make Good Cents' program, will allow shoppers to round up their in-store purchases to the nearest dollar, for Macy's to donate the difference to BCRF, from October 9-31.

"Macy's is deeply committed to supporting cancer awareness, with a focus on breast cancer, and we are proud to have donated more than $27 million to the search for a cure since 2000," said Sam Harrison, vice president of giving and volunteerism at Macy's, in a statement. "This is a disease that touches many inside and outside of our Macy's family, and we are dedicated to partnering with organizations like BCRF and Ralph Lauren's Pink Pony Fund on their important work."
