Magic kicks off major show changes at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas

Magic Las Vegas begins in less than a week and has a bevy of new activations for this season. This season marks the first time Children’s Club will show in Las Vegas. Children’s Club Magic was first announced in June and will take place alongside the Magic shows beginning this month. Also, Project Womens and CurveNV will join forces for the first time for a partnered show.

Project and MRket are teaming up again for a partnered show in Las Vegas after joining forces in New York City. Beginning August 15, MRket and Project will run simultaneously at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, which will include shows Vanguards Gallery, CurveNV, The Collective, PoolTradeShow, Project Womens and The Tents. Guests will have access to all of the shows with a single badge.
 
Project Las Vegas is kicking off this month with educational discussions and tech activations. The trade show will invite guests to immerse themselves in six holographic environments with virtual SS17 trends. The AR environments are 90’s Sport, Neo-Vintage, Modern Utility, Relaxed Tailoring, Retro Resort and Rebel Remix.

In addition to the virtual reality experience, Project is hosting panel discussions that will run for the three days. The discussions are P1V0T’s ‘Breakfast with the Disruptors,’ which will accompany the show’s new P1V0T section that infuses tech and fashion; ‘How Tech is Controlling Consumer Behavior’ and ‘Adriano Goldschmied Unthreaded: A Discussion on the Innovation of Denim,’ in partnership with Mavi Jeans.
 
MRket will kick off its show with fashion presentations. Barbour will present at 10:30am followed by the Best of Italy, a showcase of Italian design, at noon, and at 1:00pm, MR Magazine Editor-at-Large Michael Macko will style his favorite pieces for a final presentation. The trade show will also include sections Move, dedicated to active and performance-base brands; Made in Italy, which features the top tailoring, accessories and sportswear from Italy; Coast Life that embodies that West Coast lifestyle; and finally Vanguards Gallery that offers directional brands at the forefront of menswear.
 
On the women’s side, Project Women's will be highlighted by the Conscious Collections, OA*SIS and Flex sections, which are dedicated to sustainable fashion, innovation and activewear. In addition, Cupcakes and Cashmere founder Emily Schuman will host a conversation with Matte Black’s Chelsea Matthews called ‘Cupcakes and Cashmere…And Champagne, Oh My!’ The discussion will be on Schuman’s career as a blogger and designer, as well as her book.
 
PoolTradeShow also moved its location to alongside Stitch and AccessoriesTheShow. The art-and-music focused show will include a Brand Design Contest and a live art installation from PoolTradeShow regular Curbside.
 
Magic Las Vegas will take place from August 15 through August 17.
