New CEO Stefan Larsson will present his strategic plan for the Ralph Lauren group on 7th June, and he is promising a change in approach. To achieve this, the former H&M and Old Navy director is building up his own entourage, causing a great deal of change at the top of Ralph Lauren's various departments. Stefan Larsson has confirmed Valérie Hermann's position and even increased her responsibilities.

But the CEO has also introduced new managers within the group, building a team with a strong Swedish accent. Larsson has recently formalised the appointment of two directors, former H&M managers like him. From April, Fredrik Hjalmers is Ralph Lauren's Head of Global Expansion and Business Development. He has worked for H&M since 2009 and was initially in charge of the group's expansion in Turkey, then into new markets and recently in Japan.
"Fredrik will be in charge of leading the way in the creation and deployment of the best possible international expansion and distribution strategy for the company, across several brands and different channels, explained Stefan Larsson during a conversation with financial analysts. This is one of the essential elements in our growth plan."

Halide Alagöz developed her career as a manufacturing and sourcing specialist with the Swedish fast-fashion giant. In June she will be appointed Ralph Lauren's Head of Global Manufacturing and Sourcing. Since 2014 she was Head of Purchasing at H&M, having previously acted as Global Supply Chain Manager and as Regional Manager in China and Europe for the Swedish group.

Ralph Lauren is also hiring from outside of H&M. The group recently recruited Kate Bartle as Senior Director, Global Fashion Public Relations and Communications, after Malcolm Carfrae, who was in charge of communications and press and media relations from 2014, left Ralph Lauren. Bartle reports to Florinka Presenti, the Vice-President in charge of Public Relations for the luxury collections.

Stefan Larsson explained that his team will be further strengthened in the next few months to meet his strategy's requirements.
