Saks to host second Emerging Designer Showcase at Brookfield Place

Saks Fifth Avenue announced on Tuesday the return of its Emerging Designer Showcase at Saks Downtown on Friday, April 7.

 
The second annual showcase will feature women’s ready-to-wear collections from emerging designers. In order to be considered for the showcase, designers must submit digital lookbooks to the Saks fashion and buying offices. To qualify, designers must be women’s ready-to-wear focused, must bring 8-12 product samples for review, line sheets with wholesale and retail pricing, current and past look books for review, and must be able to fulfill orders and have production and shipping capabilities in place.
 
“Saks believes in the future of fashion and is committed to supporting the industry’s next generation of talent,” says Saks Fifth Avenue Chief Merchant Tracy Margolies. “We’re thrilled to host our second Emerging Designer Showcase and look forward to seeing what all of the talented designers out there have to offer.”

The luxury retailer held the very first Emerging Designer Showcase in 2016 at its Fifth Avenue location. The showcase was introduced in an effort to search for the best designer talent at the forefront of advance fashion. As a result of the showcase, Saks picked up collections from Roberta Einer and Vetta.
 
Designers must submit their digital lookbooks by Monday, March 20, and selected designers will be notified on Friday, March 24.
