TOMS has opened its very first New York City flagship store on Elizabeth Street in the Nolita section of Manhattan, the 5th American store for the brand. Following in line with its stores in Venice, Austin, Portland, and Chicago, the NYC store is a Community Outpost much like a coffee shop that welcomes locals to work remotely using the store’s wireless Internet or to grab a coffee and read a book.
The 1,000-sq. ft. location features TOMS footwear, TOMS Marketplace items, apparel, bags, eyewear, a café serving TOMS Roasting Co. Coffee and treats, and a door leading to a heated courtyard.
At the store's entrance, the café serves coffee, lattes, One Girl Cookies, and Blue Print Juices, and just opposite is the eyewear wall, where the brand’s optical and sunglass frames are displayed.
The NYC store is designed to represent the brand’s global aesthetic with locally sourced furniture, reclaimed materials, a collaboration of hand painting, and a curated selection of products that best represent the brand.
