A Day of High Jewellery with De Beers, Piaget, Chopard, Van Cleef & Arpels

To discover a collection of fine jewellery is also to experience a moment of history, to dive into a story, whether it be real or imaginary. This is true of this season’s key inspirations: light, summer, sunrise and sunset. De Beers, with their Lotus collection. This poetic flower depicts morning with a marquise of more than 18 carats in blue turquoise which finishes a necklace, or reflecting itself in the light of the evening, evoked by a piece composed of a multitude of coloured diamonds embedded one by one. At Piaget, the sun glistens in their latest jewellery collection entitled "Sunlight", inspired by the Amalfi Coast. At dawn, rose gold mingles with stones like opal and tourmaline in pastel tones. When the sun reaches its zenith, the blue of the sky and the sea can be found in the creations, composed of blue marquises, sparkling diamonds, and even exceptional feathers. Finally, the evening is celebrated by warm tones such as red, pink and gold in the image of a cuff decorated with purplish pink spinels.Chopard also seizes a moment of exception, through collaboration with the Chinese fashion designer Guo Pei. With the title of ‘Silk Road, Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director of Chopard, combines tradition and modernity, playing with the colours and tones of precious stones meeting with luxurious textures. Unique and exceptional pieces which add the finishing touches to couture gowns. Finally at Van Cleef & Arpels, the day contains secrets; well-kept yet gradually revealing themselves on the wearer.Talismans which evoke exploration, hidden messages, and the enchanting discovery of fairies and forest wildlife.(interview)This high jewellery pushes the boundaries of excellence, highlighting unique pieces which celebrate particular and unforgettable moments…Interview Nicolas Bos: We’re working on a collection that aims to showcase the idea of secrecy in jewellery. So we have gone as far as we can with the work on the mechanisms, on the elements of "transformability", so there are elements that are a little technical but that allow each piece to tell its story. These are in fact pieces that are of a very high level of complexity. With a piece of high jewellery, we will always push everything as far as possible. Try not to make any compromises.Music in the public domain: Bandit & Nikit
