With the launch of its first footwear line, Spyder, which is owned by New York’s Authentic Brands Group (ABG), will round out its lifestyle assortment, which already includes technical ski, fitness, swim and lifestyle apparel for men, women and children, as well as accessories.

According to the brand, its first footwear line will feature outdoor, hiking, trail, après ski and lifestyle models. Shoes will feature a number of technical details and will be available in a range of different colorways.

The collection will be available on Spyder’s e-commerce site and at select specialty retailers and department stores from fall 2021, with prices ranging from $90 to $300.

“The launch of Spyder footwear in partnership with Footwear Unlimited expands the brand’s year-round essentials for active consumers and presents an opportunity to gain a larger market-share,” explained Wesley Chu, senior VP for sports, street and active at ABG, in a release. “This new line draws inspiration from Spyder’s core offerings, which are rooted in snow sports and introduces styles for hiking, training and every day.”

Based in Fenton, Missouri, Footwear Unlimited is a full-service company that designs, manufactures and distributes footwear. With more than 30 years of experience, its licensing partners include Björn Borg, Gaastra, SuperTrash, Karl Lagerfeld, and Bass.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Spyder, an iconic ski brand,” said the company’s general manager and EVP of active, sport and outdoor. “We worked alongside our expert design team and world-leading technical material suppliers and manufacturers to create a collection of footwear that authentically embodies the performance heritage and DNA of Spyder while supporting the active lifestyle of the modern consumer.”

Spyder is present in more than 150 direct-to-consumer stores, as well as in speciality retailers and department stores spread over North America, Europe, the Middle East, South Korea, and China.
