Alessandro Varisco takes presidency at Moschino

It’s now official; Aeffe, the owner of the brand, has announced that Alessandro Varisco has been nominated to the position of president at Moschino. The post had been empty for three months since the departure of Thierry Andretta on December 31, after two years in the position.

Full of confidence, the pdg of Aeffe, Massimo Ferretti declared that “[Alessandro Varsico] will welcome his new responsibilities with attentiveness and professionalism, bringing a new enthusiasm to the group”.

Formerly director general of Roberta di Camerina, a Florentine brand taken over by the Sixty group, the Italian has also plied his trade at Versace and Gianfranco Ferré. His professional experience in the world of ready-to-wear fashion has now taken him to Moschino.

As president Mr Varisco will have to continue the brand’s development plan, which includes retail advances and of course increasing the visibility of the Love Moschino and Moschino labels. The driving force of the Aeffe group, owned by Alberta Ferretti and Pollini, Moschino has recorded continued growth in recent years – a growth which has seemingly been immune to the general economic tides.
