Aromatherapy Associates launches new e-commerce platform
British wellness brand Aromatherapy Associates is accelerating its global direct-to-consumer operations with a new webstore.
It has partnered with digital agency Astound Commerce, which has created a “transformative Shopify Plus e-commerce platform” for it.
Having previously prioritised a wholesale selling strategy into spas and retail stockists, the brand first pivoted to a digital-first DTC model to sell its home fragrance, skincare and bath, body and shower products during the pandemic. However, its legacy platform wasn’t as immersive as it wanted.
Hence the tie-up with Astound. Following an in-depth consultation “designed to forensically analyse the business's specific challenges and roadmap a clear path to elevate the online customer experience”, Aromatherapy Associates selected the Shopify Plus platform “as the foundation for its e-commerce evolution”.
The re-platforming to Shopify 2.0, “leverages its internal accelerator for Shopify Plus to fast-track time-to-market”, it added. Additionally, Astound developed a bespoke creative concept, “redefining both the user experience and the brand’s aesthetic making the online experience seamless while the design now reflects the brands tenets of luxury, quality and craftsmanship”.
