Arthur Sleep and Clothsurgeon to join Savile Row line-up

Savile Row will soon be home to two new-to-the-street brands with Arthur Sleep and Clothsurgeon joining the line-up on the upscale shopping thoroughfare in East Mayfair.

The Pollen Estate said that later this month, 40 Savile Row will see bespoke streetwear brand Clothsurgeon opening its doors, while Arthur Sleep will offer luxury footwear at 7-8 Savile Row, alongside the new ready-to-wear offering from tailoring house Cad & The Dandy.

Founded by Rav Matharu in 2012, Clothsurgeon provides a bespoke service as well as its seasonal collections, “allowing customers to create anything they want out of whatever cloth they choose”.

It’s certainly an interesting concept as it “mixes the relaxed aesthetic of streetwear with traditional men's silhouettes to produce a classic but modern wardrobe, inspired by counter-culture and with an admiration for Savile Row tailoring and workmanship”.

And it’s known for its collabs, with previous link-ups having included Coca-Cola, Champion, Nike and Vans.

Meanwhile, we’re told that Arthur Sleep and Cad & The Dandy have created “a vibrant reimagining of the retail experience over two floors, blurring the line between showroom and workshop, giving consumers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the artisanal proponents of both these heritage crafts”.

That translates into a lower-ground floor that houses the first shoe-making workshop to be located in London for over a century — as well as being the first ever on Savile Row.

Julian Stocks, Property Director of The Pollen Estate said: “We are delighted to welcome exciting new openings of Arthur Sleep and Clothsurgeon on Savile Row, both with unique ties to the street. These brands make excellent additions to the world class tailoring destination and we look forward to showcasing them in our area."
