Jeweller Astley Clarke has unveiled its debut store with an opening at 31 Monmouth Street in Seven Dials. It’s the first physical shop for the brand since it originally launched in 2006. The new location is part of landlord Shaftesbury’s extensive estate in the area.

Founded as an online-only brand 15 years ago by Bec Astley Clarke, as well as being stock by other online retailers such as Farfetch, the label has only had a physical presence previously via its spaces in stores such as Selfridges and Liberty.

But its own store will allow it to curate the retail experience for customers. The shop covers just over 900 sq ft and houses the luxury jeweller’s full collection of fine and demi-fine jewellery, including exclusive locket personalisation services.

It said the opening marks “an important next step in the brand’s UK expansion”.

Scott Thomson, CEO of Astley Clarke, said the company is “extremely proud of our heritage and it was important for us that our debut store opening reflects this. As a prime retail destination which champions authenticity, Seven Dials was carefully selected for our debut flagship store as the synergy of the destination with our brand ethos is of the utmost importance”.

And Shaftesbury’s retail director Samantha Bain-Mollison added:“As a brand steeped in British tradition, Astley Clarke is a great fit. Surrounded by other leading luxury jewellers, such as Monmouth Street’s Dinny Hall, and British independents including the likes of Experimental Perfume Club, it is the ideal location for [its] first store.”
