The British eyewear label has launched the Crystal capsule collection, featuring a new take on some of its signature frames. The collection combines modern design with the brand's time-honoured style.

Clear Italian crystal acetate showcases the inner workings and construction of the frames, giving a contemporary twist to classic shapes.

The collection features four models: two pairs of sunglasses, one in the brand's classic style and the other a square aviator model, and two ophthalmic frames.

The collection will be available at Cutler & Gross stores, online and at selected retailers worldwide from this month.

The London-based brand was founded in 1969 by Graham Cutler and Tony Gross. It currently operates 8 monobrand stores (3 in London and one each in Leeds and Bath in the UK, and also in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles) and it is also distributed via over 700 multibrand retailers internationally. In 2017 Cutler & Gross will rely on a series of collaborations to boost its business. The first will be a joint effort with London fashion label Roksanda, available exclusively at Roksanda stores.

Later in the spring, Cutler & Gross will launch an eyewear collection for handbags and accessories designer Anya Hindmarch, available at Anya Hindmarch stores and at Cutler & Gross' London stores.

In 2008 the British eyewear brand outsourced its sunglasses production in France and Italy, before acquiring two factories in the Cadore area in northern Italy, an industry hub, one in 2008 and another in 2013.
