The US fashion label has announced the launch of ‘#GUESSVintage', a program that will see more than 150 authenticated pieces sold exclusively at the LA retailer Fred Segal from April 10 through April 29.

The collection, which will be available at the brand's Sunset Boulevard store this month, will span jeans, denim jackets, leather jackets, t-shirts and sweatshirts for both men and women. The vintage items have been sourced from all over the world, and curated by Round Two co-founder and sneaker and streetwear influencer Sean Wotherspoon.

"With the explosion of vintage culture over the past decade, Sean and I wanted to join our community in the celebration of GUESS archival pieces that have stood the test of time," said Nicolai Marciano, of Guess Jeans USA.

As of April 10, shoppers will be able to have dead-stock vintage t-shirts from the 80s and 90s Guess archives customized in store, using archival graphics to create bespoke vintage pieces. The day-long event will be followed up with a second and third installment on April 17 and 22 respectively.

The initiative ties into Guess's wider sustainable fashion strategy -- the brand has signed up to the 2020 Circular Fashion System Commitment, the Global Fashion Agenda's pledge to encourage a circular fashion economy.

Guess is not the only fashion brand rifling through its archives at the moment -- fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger recently launched a reboot of its vintage Coca-Cola collaboration, which was first created back in 1986, while Perry Ellis dropped the second installment of its ‘Perry Ellis America' capsule archival collection earlier this year.
