Hackett London is making further inroads in the rowing community. The British luxury brand just announced its association with Henley Royal Regatta, the first time the English competition has had an official textile partner in its long history.

Redgrave and Jeremy Hackett rowing up the Thames - Hackett London

The Henley Royal Regatta is one of the most important traditional rowing events in the world and has taken place each year on the Thames since its creation in 1839.

The partnership represents a strategic step forward for Hackett and its relationship to the world of rowing. For the past 20 years the brand has also been associated with The Cambridge-Oxford Regatta, The London Rowing Club and the World Sculling.

Following Henley standards of style and protocol, Hackett created the Hackett Henley collection in homage to the thick, striped flannel jacket that rowers traditionally wear.

The collection also includes striped cotton shirts, navy blue jackets, white and striped chinos and essential sailing navigation accessories.

To celebrate the partnership, retired British rower Don Steve Redgrave rowed with Jeremy Hackett, the president of Hackett, down a stretch of the Henley-Upon-Thames River, made famous by him and many other rowers throughout the centuries.

The Hackett Henley collection will be available in Hackett stores starting on June 1, as well as at the Hackett pop-up store at the Henley Royal Regatta, which will take place this year from June 28 to July 2.
