TV comedian Hasan Minhaj and actress Jessica Williams have been snapped up by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) for roles in the upcoming CFDA Fashion Awards.

The duo will present the Womenswear, Menswear, Accessory, and Emerging Designer of the Year nominee categories at the prestigious annual awards ceremony, which will take place this year at the Brooklyn Museum on June 3.

"Hasan and Jessica both have incredibly popular shows that tap into the current state of culture," said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA, in a statement posted to the CFDA website. "We're excited to have them on stage and look forward to celebrating the best of American fashion."

The move comes as Minaj sees his career go from strength to strength: since shooting to fame in 2014 as a correspondent for "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," he has won critical acclaim for his weekly comedy show "Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj" and for his one-hour Netflix comedy special "Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King." Williams has also seen her career skyrocket over the past few years, having starred in "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" last year and "The Incredible Jessica James" in 2017. She is also known for the podcast, "2 Dope Queens," which she launched with Phoebe Robinson in 2016 and which was later picked up by HBO, and she can be seen in Olivia Wilde's upcoming directorial debut "Booksmart."

The annual CFDA Fashion Awards honor the best of the US fashion industry every year. This year's CFDA Fashion Icon has already been announced as Jennifer Lopez.
