Hugo Boss has signed up to take space in the refurbished Parcels Building that’s part of the ‘Selfridges neighbourhood’ in the West End of London. The building is currently being upgraded to a high standard with enhanced eco credentials and will be ready to open with office and retail space in 2022.

The space overlooks both Oxford Street and Duke Street and is being transformed under the direction of architects Grafton Associates.

There will be 20,000 sq ft of retail space with Hugo Boss taking on 8,000 sq ft of it and with an opening planned for spring next year. Elsewhere in the building there will be a two-level events area, while workspace provider Fora will take much of the space.

Tim Reade, Director of Asset Management at Selfridges Group, said the arrival of Hugo Boss will be "another draw for visitors to the Selfridges neighbourhood”.

And Hugo Boss’s MD Western Europe & Middle East, Volker Herre, said the company has spent 18 months right-sizing the business and focusing on the retail locations and channels that will help the brand progress. He added: “Selfridges Group is globally iconic and renowned for its experiential approach to retail. Hugo Boss is pleased to be among the first brands to partner with Selfridges Group at The Parcels Building.”
