Hugo Boss has confirmed the departure of Mark Brashear from his position as CEO in the Americas (North, Central and South). The region generates 570 million euros in sales, 78% of which comes from the U.S. market alone with 12% coming from Canada.

Overseas, Hugo Boss saw sales down in the first quarter by 7% at 118.7 million euros. At constant exchange rates, it was a 2% decline.

Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, CEO of the German company, will take charge directly of the key market in the interim.

Brashear joined Hugo Boss in 2009. Previously, he began his career at Macy's in 1985 before joining Nordstrom, named president of Façonnable in 2001, at the time a subsidiary of the American company.
