Swiss watch-maker Tag Heuer is always close to high-level athletes, and has announced the recruitment of Japanese international footballer Shinji Kagawa as its new brand ambassador.
Kagawa was introduced to his new role at an event organised by Tag Heuer in Omotesando, Tokyo. He has been selected for the Japanese national team and is special for having been the first Japanese footballer to play for Manchester United, and for starring in both the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga (with Borussia Dortmund).
Kagawa will not only represent the Tag Heuer brand internationally, notably in Asia, but he will also help raise funds for children in need. His first mission, set up as a challenge, is designed to raise funds for the children of Kumamoto, a Japanese town recently hit by an earthquake.
Shinji Kagawa adds his name to the long list of Tag Heuer sporting ambassadors, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Jeremy Lin and Jessica Korda.
