L'Oréal Paris has announced its 2019 Women of Worth Honorees.

The beauty giant has singled out 10 women in the US who are igniting positive change in their communities and championing self-worth in others, as part of its signature philanthropic program. The honorees have been awarded $10,000 each to further the causes they are championing, with L'Oréal Paris inviting the public to vote for a ‘National Honoree' whose cause will receive an additional $25,000.

"This year's diverse group of awe-inspiring Honorees beautifully exemplify the L'Oréal Paris mission of uplifting and inspiring self-worth in others," said Ali Goldstein, President, L'Oréal Paris, in a statement.

This year's honorees include Brittany Schiavone, whose organization Brittany's Baskets of Hope delivers baskets of handmade baby items and support system information to families with Down Syndrome babies, as well as Crystal Chatman, the founder and director of Beautiful Spirited Women, which empowers teenage girls through mentorship on healthy self-esteem, safe sex and entrepreneurship. Ni'cola Mitchell, the founder of Girls Who Brunch, which teaches at-risk teenage girls literacy, education and critical life skills is also on the list, alongside seven other pioneering changemakers working in areas as diverse as gender association, learning disabilities, musical expression and reducing food waste by feeding the hungry.

The Women of Worth program, which is now in its 14th year, shines a spotlight on women making a difference to their communities by tackling difficult issues at a grassroots level. Voting remains open through November 15. To cast your vote, see www.WomenofWorth.com
