The commercial real estate trade show MAPIC will be held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, from 16th to 18th November. The event has announced the presence of 700 exhibitors and expects over 8,000 visitors, from nearly 75 countries.

Organiser Reed Exhibitions indicated that over 2,000 directors and representatives from retail chains will attend, as well as 2,300 real estate developers and approximately 400 investment companies. The event is designed to focus on the latest trends in terms of shopping malls, retail parks, retail outlets and department stores, covering also leisure areas, transit zones and websites.

As usual, MAPIC will feature a series of keynote speeches and conferences, with some 200 speakers. Among the latter, François Loviton, Retail Director of Google France, Sofiane Bouleghraif, Communication and Customer Care Manager at Kenzo, Regis Pennel, President of L'Exception concept store, and Laurent Milchior, President of the Etam group.

More than 10 networking events are also planned, and the 1,000 m2 Trend Hub will showcase over 70 concepts within the Innovation Forum, 30 exhibitors in the Retailtainment section and about thirty brands in the section dedicated to Specialty Leasing. An area of approximately 600 m2 will also be dedicated to the latest in-store innovations.

Once more, the winners of the MAPIC Awards will be announced at the show. The jury will be chaired this year by Tom Meager, Group Director of Property at discount apparel retailer Primark. Meager will be supported by directors from Debenhams, Advantail, Neinver, Altarea, Hok and JLL.
