Paul Smith - Collection spring/summer 2015 London

Each season Paul Smith invites us into the heart of the famous Central St Martins School for the showcase of his latest collection. The models walked with elegance down the great hall, in both thick and thinly striped outfits. The culottes were baggy as were the light and oversized shirts, also featured were sleeveless blazers as well as jackets. The black trouser suit told us that Paul Smith is still the best at tailoring as well as being a great success with the more fluid and transparent pieces that also included fringing, featured on many of the outfits . Borrowing masculine elements and bringing them to the collection always creates a new meaning to femininity.Interview: Paul Smith: Stripes but also modernity and very minimal in terms of the set itself and the catwalk and the figure of eight and the simplicity of the girls, so it’s a very modern collection.Obviously a lot of reference to my men’s clothes which people love, the girls around the world that we sell in 73 countries or something so the little print shirt that looks like it came from your grandad actually it fits really beautifully or almost like your boyfriend’s jacket but it fits really well and a lot of the fabrics were men’s fabrics as well. Music from the show.
