Designer: Andrew GNInspiration: Women from different eras: Veruschka, constructivism and Bloomsbury… The designer defines the real world in his own way, one in which everything is mixed, and women dare to wear different styles from her wardrobe.Collection: Refined and elegant, consisting mostly of dresses. The first few pieces worn on shorter models are graphic items in black and white nearly resembling a rock style, seen through fringes and metallic eyelets.Other items are decorated with frills, flowers and spots.Evening coats and jacquard sheath carry the name of villas, “Villa Medici” or “Villa Carlotta” adding a romantic side. The last few pieces to be shown are colourful, with 3D embroideries and integrated jewellery completely covering clothes.Note: all the materials were developed by Andre GN’s studio likewise for the creation of the 3D embroideries which were made directly in the atelier. The sunflower, a firm favourite, is seen decorating a long white dress with a low-cut neckline. Interview with Andrew GN:It’s a very modern collection, despite the fact it is inspired by three, the three inspirations: one is Veruschka, a very famous model from the 60s, and then there is Bloomsbury, the early 1920s in England and also the rational constructivists. It’s very diversified, it’s like the world we are living in is also very diversified. I always have a way to, I look back but I look forward, I always think that if you cannot look back you cannot look forward, and I always look back and look forward, so I do it both ways. We are living in a dark edge, we need bright, shiny, sparkly things to brighten up our lives.Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
